Making Dragons

I’ve been doing some sewing; making some shoulder dragons. They are a lot of fun to make!

This first one I cut out from 2 fat quarters. Made for a very easy way to mix and match the colors and patterns for the dragon once I knew that this was enough fabric. Plus, these are often on sale at various stores. I snag them when they are going cheap!

Making all the little horns was a bit labor intensive. The small pieces can be difficult to work with and they all got some stuffing.

The unstuffed and unattached head…

Starting the body…

Finished head…

And the wings…

And how the little guy looks all together. I think he came out all right.

Had so much fun making that first one that I went a head and started making a second. This time I had someone in mind. I’m hoping that the fabrics that I had on hand will line up with what they had in mind.

The start of his head…

Didn’t take that many pictures of this one. Got too into making him, I guess. But here’s how he came out!

Had a lot of fun making these guys and I have another one cut out and ready to go. Great way to spend a day off!
